Ivazes has traveled the world, taught and cared for hundreds of children, and worked with families on several continents. She has three grown daughters and seven grandchildren of her own.
Now, after a lifetime of working children from infancy through the teen years, Ivazes, aka Granny Pants, reveals the often subtle myths about raising children in today's world that are literally killing our children without parents or peripheral adults even realizing their participation in these assaults.
“In this fast-evolving information , I am hoping that the voice of wisdom and experience still has a place at the table,” Ivazes said.
“The New Physics of Childhood” connects the dots of Ivazes' personal and professional experiences in a unique format that does not just focus on the problems. It also offers easy-to-implement solutions backed by sound principles.
The book is written for all adults who have a child in their lives of any age. It is a revolutionary approach that revisits the common needs we all share. “The New Physics of Childhood” has something for everyone, because after all, there is a child in every one of us. KNOW & GO

“Well, the title of my books is The Physics of Childhood Replacing Modern Myth With Simple Strategy and basically, as with the times, it’s kind of a myth busting book regarding how we are raising our children in this country.”
Ivazes says she drew on all of the experiences in her lifetime to build the chapters of the book. She has worked in teaching, bio-feedback and stress management for youth and holds a degree in psychology. She says she has also gained experience being a caregiver, a nanny, a mentor and a mother of 3 and grandmother of seven children. She has also spent a great deal of time focusing on social networking, from Face Book to You Tube and other social networks.
“Exactly and also how to balance out the other needs in their life because nothing should ever replace face to face contact and interaction in our community.”
Christina Ivazes will be at Booktown Books this Friday night from 5 to 8 p.m. for a book signing of her new book during the Downtown Grass Valley Cornish Christmas.
